Offline Marketing for Your First Internet Dollar
by Andrew Choong
You may be new to internet marketing, or you may still be struggling to get your first dollar. You try all sorts of methods, writing articles, participating in forums and even paying money to get traffic to your website. You have been trying everything and it seems so difficult to get results. You are most likely spending more money on products that every guru is telling you that they have found the secret to earning money on the internet.

In the midst of all these methods, how about taking a break from online marketing and shift your focus to offline marketing.

What exactly is Offline marketing and how does it apply to your online business?

It is pretty easy. While you may be trying to write a superbly catchy headlines and collecting testimonials for your latest product, you may have neglected the most traditional and effective ways of marketing. Network marketers, insurance agents, housing agents and businessmen used it all the time. They just share their experiences and the exciting prospects of their trade to everyone who are interested to hear.

In the old days when the Internet was not even born, not even when there were any major countries or cities, small and developing towns are already making a living by shouting out to their customers to buy the freshest fish, the latest poems, and the best products.

Now, in the modern internet world, we should not neglect this tried and tested viral method as well. In every stage and every trade, you can sell what you know for a commission. You may be a new internet marketer, buying many books and attending courses about the internet industry, but you have yet to make your first dollar.

At this stage, you may be thinking and getting frustrated, especially if you have not experience any real results after 3 months of starting out?

How about doing things a little different?

Ask yourself, do you have any friends who are interested in doing a business. If they have a business and no websites yet, offer your services to them. If they want to do a business but have no clues yet, offer to teach them and give them whatever materials you have for a fee. Share with them what you know, ask them, probe them for their needs.

Beginning to get the idea?

On the Internet, people are always looking for information. Similarly, you can approach friends offline, see what they need. This is also considered niche marketing, except it is without using keyword tools, and using your experience as your best tool to make your first dollar.

Let me help you with one more push, I can give you a hint, provide a free service but find a product that has affiliate programs so that you will be paid indirectly instead.

Online business is a real business, so do not be afraid or be shy to ask them what they need and also inform your clients how you will benefit from helping them.
