Email Marketing is NOT easy and changes constantly. There are a few basic things a person must know before they begin to start ANY email marketing campaign.

The first thing you will need to do is to get an email address from your Internet Service Provider. The reason you want to get another one from your Internet Provider is because it will generally hold more mail than a free account like yahoo or hotmail. You can also get technical help on how to access this email through outlook express or your primary email program. The next crucial element you will need to develop an email marketing campaign is a good autoresponder.

Once you have your autoresponder the next step is to develop your marketing strategy. This is where most people are truly missing the boat. People who are promoting their opportunity first are getting little if any results at all!

The reason is people are exposed to a lot of ads, spam emails, opt in emails etc. on a daily basis. They are becoming more and more skeptical about each ad they receive and it is generally taking 5-7 emails before a person pays any real attention to your emails or begins to trust you.

To effectively market online you need to build a relationship or establish credibility with the prospect BEFORE you introduce them to your income opportunity.

The best way to do this is to offer something FREE that will help them to learn how to market online or a tool they can use to help them market online.

When you start your promotional messages you will advertise the tool or course NOT your Opportunity! Make sure when you advertise you NEVER use your email address in the ad. You want to use the autoresponder address you created. This way people who respond to your ad will send an email to your autoresponder to receive the FREE course, product or tool you are promoting and they will automatically be sent the information from your autoresponder and added to YOUR opt in list!

Once this takes place you have just generated your very own opt-in lead! You can now send email to your new prospet anytime you wish until they either join your program or opt out of your list! If you do not have a tool or marketing course you can give away then the next best thing is to find a net marketing system that does it for you.
